Basco Accounting Systems was established over 35 years ago when founder, John Chordas purchased a small accounting practice that had only a few clients. As a result of continually meeting client’s needs by providing excellent, timely, and accurate service, Basco was built on our reputation. Years of listening and caring about clients has allowed us to grow to partner with small businesses across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. For decades, our business approach has been to build long-term relationships with clients, enabling us to better understand their goals and objectives, so we can confidently make financial recommendations to enhance their success. Keeping a regional client base allows us to build long-term business relationships with a commitment to our client’s success by striving to provide each client with individualized attention and focus – at a reasonable cost!
We take pride in our work, and truly enjoy servicing our clients. That’s evident through the loyalty of our staff, most of who have been with Basco for over 10 years! And, the addition of Ahillea (Lee) Papaioannou, CPA as a partner in 2013 has enabled us to augment service offerings and build deeper business relationships with clients. Lee has been in the finance and accounting field since 2006 and is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago. He holds a Masters in the Science of Accountancy and CPA degree.
While we still remain a comparably small firm, our clients benefit by getting personalized, exceptional service. Maintaining high business standards, a strong work ethic and personal attention are qualities not seen in many businesses these days and are what differentiates us from other firms. Our goal is to be a principal advisor to clients, providing insightful counsel to empower clients to make educated financial decisions. We do that by being available for our clients! As a business partner, we are accessible to answer questions, consult on financial decisions, and provide accounting counsel when you need it.
